There are a few who will question the source of a native design for a monkey. Rest assured there wasn't one, until now. I was asked to do a peice for a lady who was born under the sign of the monkey. After several unsuccessful attempts I was reminded that Emily Carr had a pet monkey called Woo. Although I couldn't find any pictures of Woo in our local library it was the inspiration I needed.
